The Darien/New Canaan senior legion baseball team crept above .500 to earn a spot in the state playoffs last Thursday at Coppo Field in New Canaan.

Sunday, far from home in East Hartford, Jewett City sent them back to the .500 mark with a 4-3 win in the opening round of the state tournament.

Alex Harrow and some early hot bats enabled DNC to earn a spot in the tournament with a 5-3 victory over Ridgefield last Thursday.   Continue »
